Tracking Spiritual Level – an in-app spiritual journey companion

The TRIARE team received an email from a client, a dedicated member of the Mormon community in the USA. He had a vision of creating an app that would help people enhance their spiritual development through daily tasks, ultimately bringing them closer to God. His goal was to engage young people in his community in a fun and interactive way. To turn this vision into reality, he was looking for a talented development team, and we were excited to be of service.

Despite our limited experience in religious game development, we found the project especially captivating. Since our target audience mainly consisted of teenagers and young adults, our focus was on creating a modern and engaging app.

To engage users and make their learning experience both enjoyable and convenient, we aimed to introduce a central character that users could readily relate to. Furthermore, the app needed to sustain user interest, prompting them to open it daily and complete tasks designed to enhance their spiritual journey and strengthen their connection with God.

We wanted to ensure that our client’s vision and goals were not only understood but also seamlessly integrated into the project. To achieve this, our development team had bi-weekly meetings with the client. These sessions served as a platform for idea exchange, feedback, and shared decision-making, fostering a truly collaborative approach to the project.

To strike the right balance between simplicity and engagement, we introduced the option for users to create a personalized main character and upgrade it by completing daily tasks. This included interactive quizzes such as prayer, scripture reading, scripture memorization, and maintaining the daily streak.

Through our comprehensive approach that blends religious education with entertainment, we’ve developed an app that transforms everyday tasks into an engaging journey. Our client has successfully achieved the primary objective of creating an enjoyable and educational experience for young people, teenagers, and children attending church, facilitating their daily spiritual growth.

Being a non-commercial app, Tracking Spiritual Level not only operates effectively but also offers a seamless user interface and a smooth user experience, leaving a lasting positive impression. Initially imagined as a reminder app for religious users to fulfill daily spiritual activities, Tracking Spiritual Level evolved into an engaging game that allows users to enhance their spiritual journey alongside a customizable main character. Users have the freedom to choose from various avatars, customizing features like skin color and hairstyles.
