Nutrihorse - horse tracking app. Comprehensive horse health monitoring

Being a huge horse fan and seeing the inefficiencies of very few existing apps in the niche, the client decided to make their own solution for easy horse health monitoring. It was white-labeled at first, but TRIARE did a complete rebuild and redesign, delivering custom apps for iOS and Android.

The client had a very specific vision and came to TRIARE with third-party designs. The development team did extensive research and business analysis to understand the nuances and major challenges of the niche and come up with technical decisions to ensure effective app performance.

Open communication with the client and true agility in the process helped a lot in achieving all business objectives and making timely adjustments.

The Nutrihorse app combines a clear and concise UX with the functionality that covers all major needs of horse owners: it calculates nutrition needs based on individual horse’s parameters, includes veterinary logs, and lets users set and track workouts along with their type, intensity, and duration. Plus, the app creates a health graph at the end of each month that can be exported and shared.

In 5.5 months, the first iOS version was released. A paid app at that time, it received 120 downloads in the first few days. The client was happy with the result and continued with TRIARE to upgrade the iOS app and create the one for Android.

The final solution is proven to be helpful to its target audience, professional horse riders and farmers who own horses, as it allows them to automate the monitoring of horse health and activity.

Currently, TRIARE’s team is handling the app’s support. Besides monetizing the app through horse food ads, the client plans to continue cooperation and create a larger-scale product.
