ESL Pals – Ready-Made Lesson Plans That Save Teachers Hours

ESL Pals is an online platform that provides ready-made ESL (English as a Second Language) lesson plans for teachers worldwide. It saves time by offering structured resources for different levels and topics. With subscription options for teachers and institutions, ESL Pals helps streamline lesson planning, so educators can focus on teaching more.

As the user base grows, the client wanted to update the website design to keep up with today’s trends and meet modern users’ expectations. They also aimed to add interactive features, especially for kids using the site to take tests.

The main goal was to redesign the website with a user-friendly interface that follows the latest UX/UI trends. It needed to attract new users and be simple and intuitive for everyone.

Another important task was to add features that would present new educational methods and programs in a clear, interactive way. The platform needed to grow, giving teachers and students more tools, like creating and taking customizable tests that are fun and engaging for kids.

The client also pointed out that improving the admin panel would be a great idea, making it easier to manage users, tests, and curricula.

With all the details and specific needs collected, we jumped into building a clear strategy and workflow for both the design and development.

We kicked things off with a discovery phase, looking at competitors and spotting the trends shaping how users interact with educational platforms today. With that info in hand and all the client requirements, we mapped out the site’s structure and logic, and our designers created the first wireframes. Once everything was ready, we shared it all with the client for feedback and approval. When we got the green light, it was time to dive into design and development.

In the next phase, the design team brought the wireframes to life, adding color, creating a clean and kid-friendly UI, and making sure the UX met modern user expectations. Meanwhile, the dev team worked on adding features for running tests and exploring learning materials. They also built an admin panel where everything (tests, results, and curricula) can be customized easily. Next, we tested all that we’ve done with a website for its further seamless work. 

We ended up with a simple, intuitive testing platform designed with kids in mind, where users can easily create, take, and manage tests in just a few clicks. As part of our maintenance services, we fully support the client with website updates and handle all their requests as they come in.
